American Politics is slowly becoming Cult central

Some will deny this, others will agree that "the other guys" are cultish. But few will see what's right in front of their eyes. cults polarize. That's exactly what is happening in this country. Remember cult leaders, most notably Hitler or stalin have taken over whole nations with devastating results in the past.
But how much of world politics is nothing more that "cults light" overseen by power types who won't go quite that far and are even secretly willing to share the power with the opposition?
