But our courts don't understand nuance, so everything gets lumped in together.
I agree, then make it specific, change which convictions for specific sex crimes must be registered on the sex offender list but do not make it blanket across the board that no one has to register.

Im not opposed to changing which crimes have to be registered but im dead set against life long pedophilles being removed.

I dont have a problem with that, when I said sex offenders recidivism rate his higher I should have specified pedophillia

Revamping the entire registry im fine with, but not leaving pedophilles unmonitored and putting kids are more risk

Sex criminals tend to repeat their crimes. Potential victims and parents have a right to know if a sex criminal moves in their neighborhood.

My problem with the registry is that it captures too many people. Pedos, sure. Violent sex offenders, sure.

This is my prime objection to an arbitrary permanent sex offender listing. A 19 year old having sex with a 17 year old can be labeled a sex offender. That is far different from a 19 year old having sex with a 10 year old. Someone being labeled a sex offender for peeing in public is far different than someone wagging his willy at a group of young girls.

The laws as now written make no allowances for truly dangerous offenders and the above.

By the way, ask any mother who's child has been molested and she will tell you not only should they be on a sex offenders listing but they should have it tattooed on their forehead.

If the State will not exact justice it will return to the citizens. Given that a state-mandated death penalty should be as safe and rare as an abortion.

Perhaps those most likely to be repeat offenders should be kept in jail longer. Or could have the same sorts of 24 hour a day surveillance the rest of us experience at the hands of the nation-state.

In some respects I agree. But it led to long strings of revenge murders.

The drive by the fascists to disarm the citizens is driven by theur desire to be exempt from tevenge.

In most cases, I agree, but if you're an extreme danger to society, there's not much point to keeping you locked up indefinitely.
