Well that gun would do the trick but not as quickly accessed as a handgun. It all gets back to the trap we can easily fall into. I know I have , of thinking we must justify our guns based upon sporting uses or self defense. While those are perfectly legit reasons to have a gun , our right to do so is not contingent upon either.
Rather it's about defense from tyranny from without or far more likely within! Therefore how powerful or fast shooting a weapon I own should not be limited by what I hunt or what the hoods in my area carry
