I would suggest yogurt and probitics to get the gut flora back into sync.

Hmmm..maybe that's a better term. I get a flushed face and a hot head. Warm anyway. It seems to happen whenever I eat highly processed food now. I wasn't like that before. I first noticed it about 7 years ago. It seems to have started soon after I started running again. I began eating a lot fo whole grains but that was the only major dietary change. Same amount of lean meat. I've always eaten a lot of lean meat and vegis.

That happens to me with almost all spicy foods. I haven't been able to narrow it down to processed foods or otherwise. With alcohol sometimes it happens too, but it seems more random.
