I was planning on doing a brisket today while I was at work but it's raining so I'm stuck here all day. I don't want to get out in the rain so I'm thinking of pressure cooking the thing and then putting it on the smoker for an hour just for flavor. Anybody ever do this, I think it should work with about 10 or 15 # of pressure for about an hour? Probably less since I like it about medium, maybe 30 min and an hour of smoke.

I have no pressure cooker experience but I would probably let it smoke longer. Sounds good though!

Yeah, you're probably right about the longer smoke time. I put some pecan wood on the front porch in case it did rain, and the rest is pre soaked so it might come out good. LOL, Guess I better get started on it.

Perfect, nature took care of the soaking.

    Yo Conley

It's probably a good time to order those ramps. Hat tip to Captain O. They ship in early April and that will be here before you know it. I may get some seeds to. What the heck? They are $5.50.

Go for it...do you have anything resembling a vegetable garden? I need to put something together. Problem is I think varmits will get to them. We should start a garden thread.

Yo D, how did you put that "Yo Conley" in there?

Click on "Go Advanced". There is a title tab.

I'll order tomorrow. I have nothing right now. I was thinking about having a landscaper come by and do a Spring cleanup. Maybe I could have him set up a small plot for me in the corner of the yard. Or I could just plant the seeds in a particular section and see what happens as a trial run. As for the fresh guys, I can't wait to add those to my eggs. Curous to see how they wil go with linguine and EVOO too.

Speaking of briskets I may do a (very) lean corn beef brisket in honor of St. Patrick.

Yes! Great thinking, been a long time since I've had it but that was a tradition back when I was a youngun.

I'm not really sure how to cook cabbage but I will give it a go.
