And salt to taste - that's key, not enough salt will make it taste odd. Peeled a carrot in there too for color. I usually add onions but didn't have any this time.

It's gotta sit in the fridge for a day or two to slaw up, but it's really good.
Have you tried broccoli slaw? Basically, it's a shredded broccoli stem.

I may make stuffed cabbage again soon.

And, I like pickled slaws. Most people make their slaws sweet with sugar or miracle whip.

    Blech! $#@!ing disgusting.

No, but I've heard of it.

I actually like broccoli stems, raw. And raw cabbage to munch on.

try it out. I forget the brand name but it seems like all the markets carry it around here now. It's a bag of shredded stems and I think so carrots.

Or just buy the cheap frozen store-brand broccoli - it's all $#@!ing stems anyway.

Stems... it's the reason I don't eat pickled banana peppers or even jalepenos anymore, you can't buy a jar of them anymore without it being full of stems.

    $#@!ing garbage anymore.

Yeah, I complain about that too. You get a pie with hot peppers and you sometimes find yourself spitting out stems.

Anyone have a fairly simple, but delish Chicken marsala recipe?
