Political tags - such as royalist, communist, democrat, populist, fascist, liberal, conservative, and so forth - are never basic criteria. The human race divides politically into those who want people to be controlled and those who have no such desire.

Model Railroading (since 1954 when I was 10 years old and saw a Lionel layout in my schools "My Weekly Reader")
My knees have limited my hunting , fishing beaver damns and serious hiking but I still fish some, golf and garden. I used to love tennis and hope to be able to play pickle ball in retirement. This forum is my main indoor hobby as I basically just like being outside.

Why Thank you very much Nathan. My father always told me whatever you decide to do just make sure you're the best at it. (smirk)
I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.

My love of books, aside from leading to a lot of reading, has gotten me involved in book collecting and meeting authors. (Yesterday I met and had a good conversation with somebody I'd been wanting to meet for thirty years, a writer named Loren Estleman. I apologized for the big stack of books I'd brought for him to sign, and he said, "Oh, that's okay. I'm a collector, too.") I also have a nice 8x10 head shot of my favorite writers made for them to inscribe and sign for the "rogue's gallery" on my office wall.

I love Baseball, and have what I have to objectively say is an out-of-control collection of Baseball memorabilia, including about 300 game-worn jerseys and somewhere in the neighborhood of 1400 game-used bats. Enough signed player photos to cover every wall in the house, if I wanted to do that.

Big fan of movies and genre t.v., props and costumes from which I also collect. A couple of my most prized items are the mysterious homeless woman's little brown stuffed horse from 'Sons of Anarchy' and an FBI Outstanding Service trophy from Fox Mulder's desk on 'The X-Files'.

I got Dr. Michio Kaku to sign one of his books for me. He is a real tiny guy.
