Oh, well then I stand corrected, don't I? I must be watching the wrong college sports channels because there are few spectators at the few matches I've watched. No worries.

I can see an eventual decline in the expensive sports. Let's face it, football and hockey are expensive for parents. Eventually, those sports that don't require so much equipment will eventually overtake those that do. That's why basketball has grown in popularity and why soccer is becoming more popular. Lacrosse is a bit like hockey with half the equipment.

My grandson received a college scholarship at Piedmont College in GA in lacrosse. That was worth about $120,000. My roommate in college was a lacrosse player. To me its a game for people who like to hit people with big sticks. Who would have thought Women's Soccer would be such a large sport, in fact who cares about any women's sports anyway other than a bunch of lesbians.

Full pads, full contact (like hockey) and half naked cheerleaders shaking their .............. pompoms, then yes, that'll work.
It's ok if you disagree with me. I can't force you to be right.

No. It will always be a niche sport.

It is a great game. My son played in HS and my daughter is playing now. Great to watch and the kids love it. Not for the faint of heart.

As far as professional sports go we are saturated with football, baseball and hockey and basketball. You throw in big time college football and basketball into that it is a lot.

They have been trying to jam soccer down our throats for years and nobody watches.

True, but the real cost is the coaching, travel, academies, camps and lessons. It's gotten way out of control.
