Iran uranium stockpile breaches 2015 nuclear deal, state media report.....

Iran has breached the limit on the amount of enriched uranium it is allowed to hold, in violation of the nuclear deal it signed with the U.S. and other world powers in 2015, state-run IRNA reported Monday.

The news agency quoted foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif as making the announcement Monday. The deal limited Iran to 300 kg (661 pounds) of uranium enriched up to 3.67 %.

Iran warned on June 17 that it would soon breach the terms of the landmark agreement if the European signatories did not act to prevent tough sanctions being imposed by U.S. that stop foreign businesses from trading with Iran and buying its oil.

Inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency, the U.N. nuclear watchdog, later confirmed Iran had accumulated more enriched uranium than allowed under the deal.

There can now be multilateral sanctions against Iran, for breaching the terms of the 2015 agreement have been breached — although the deal was unlikely to be effective without American support.....snip~

Alright......now Trump can up some more sanctions on Iran. We will see if the Euros still have some spin left to increase their sanctions. Lets cause their country to collapse.

Iran Risks Rift With Europe by Breaching Nuclear Deal Limit.....
    From Bloomberg.

Iran said it had exceeded limits set on its enriched-uranium stockpile, a move that risks the collapse of the 2015 nuclear accord and raises concerns that a standoff with the U.S. could lead to military action.

The breach is likely to heighten tensions in the Persian Gulf that have spiked since the Trump administration exited the nuclear accord a year ago and reimposed crippling sanctions on Iran, prompting a warning that Tehran will ditch elements of the deal unless it’s given an economic lifeline by July 7. Attacks in the Strait of Hormuz, a vital waterway for oil shipments from the Middle East, and the Iranian downing of an American drone have raised concerns of another war in the region.

Foreign Ministry Spokesman Abbas Mousavi said earlier on Monday that if European nations working to salvage the nuclear deal “take more concrete steps, Iran’s action in cutting back on its commitments can be rolled back,” according ISNA.

The move was “carefully calibrated” by authorities and “isn’t in itself dangerous because it can be reversed,” said Sanam Vakil, senior research fellow at Chatham House Middle East and North Africa Program. “It’s the action and reaction and what comes next -- it’s a step in what can be a slippery slope.”

Iran was expected to breach the cap on Thursday, though it had appeared to back off from its warning following efforts led by European nations to preserve the accord. Seven more European countries agreed on Friday to support the U.K., Germany and France in rolling out a trade mechanism, known as Instex, that aims to protect trade with Iran from U.S. sanctions. Diplomats said the first transactions using the vehicle had been processed.

Russia said on Monday that Iran’s move to breach the limit on enriched uranium wasn’t a surprise, blaming the U.S.’s policy of maximum pressure.....snip~

There you have it.....the Euros led by Germany, France, and the UK already started to work around US Sanctions on Iran. Thinking somehow this wont affect their relations with the US. We should show them....they are wrong. They don't want to stand with us. Then stand alone. We don't know need them. But they do need us.

Myself i think they exceeded stockpiles a long time back and enrichment percentage.
They are much closer to a nuke weapon then they admit and have already developed short to long range deliver systems thanks to obama.
Making a nuke isnt that big of a deal but making enough weapons grade uranium takes time and building a war head small enough to fit on a missle are the real tricks.iran is lying

Iran states clearly that they will not enrich uranium above the safe level if sanctions are dropped or by-passed , allowing them to trade normally. So what's the problem ? Drop the sanctions , then renegotiate the deal. Trump (self-declared world champion deal maker ) , is not a very good dealmaker.

The British government, which is the most closely aligned with Washington and has sent its own military assets into the region, responded with a threat.

“We want to preserve that deal because we don’t want Iran to have nuclear weapons but if Iran breaks that deal then we are out of it as well,” British Foreign Minister Jeremy Hunt, a candidate to succeed Theresa May as prime minister, said Monday.....snip~

It's not a matter of "believing" , the inspections have proved that they complied with the terms of the deal , and all countries in the deal (except the US) have been satisfied in full.
