    That would kill it overnight.
    How do you enforce that?

The idea, I believe, is to mess with the officials' heads. Must work or they wouldn't do it.

If you, like millions of others, enjoy pro wrestling, you have nothing on soccer.

Of course, soccer has the reputation of being the most corrupt sport in the world, and African soccer is the most corrupt of the corrupt.

If you don't bet on soccer, you might not feel compelled to watch it or be particularly attracted to it at all.

If you slow the game with an injury you must leave for at least one play. In soccer we could say 2 minutes of game time. Or our best guess as to game time. LOL
Sometimes players are seriously injured and the game needs to be stopped by kicking the ball out of the field of play. Stoppage or additional time will be added to make up for it. Some forward players may fake an injury to earn a free kick, too. But he may get a yellow card, if it is obviously fake, and there is a system to prevent abuse. I liked Alex Morgan's teacup celebration when she scored a goal against England.

How do you enforce anything? Change the rules. The game has already been ruined by taking power away from the only impartial person on the pitch - the referee - and giving it to a camera. So why not go the whole hog and dispense with the referee altogether. Use cameras for every decision and create more of a farce than it is already becomming.

Every sport you can name is won and lost on mistakes by those playing it. Every single action is the result of a mistake in one form or another. Perfectly acceptable to the paying spectator, because that is what sport is all about.

One mistake by a referee or referee's assistant is met with fury. Why is that? Why is a player tolerated when making mistakes but an official is not?

Sport is being ruined by interference and the camera. It's too late to stop it now.

Simply say , if you are hurt get off the field. if you cannot do so in say 20 seconds , you need to sit out for 1-2 minutes. No proof of faking required.
