I know and I have been playing with it - they changed things just enough that it's not obvious where some functions went, but they are still there, they just don't look the same. Like that thing that looks like a power button but is really restart or sleep. What is different however is that there is no 'log off'. Now it's sign off and that's slightly different.

I believe if you have more than one account on your computer the logoff feature will appear. That is the way my work computer works so if an Admin needs to log in it is easy. I log off, and they hit the other option to log in. For my home computer I have no other accounts on it, so log off isn't needed. But I can easily add another account if I wanted.

They want you to feel like your in a brand new fun house. It's annoying as hell, but that's why you give microsoft the big bucks.

I had log off under Windows 7, but there was also an Admin account - I think by default.

True, but then you don't have the same choices in apps.

Right, and run nothing because Microsoft has pushed them out of the "useful" part of computing.

Thanks for the advice, I'll file it accordingly.

And I did try it btw.

Basically everything is designed for MS or Mac operating systems. Do any games even run on Linux?

Yes, of course. And then there's Android, which, BTW, has beaten out MS and Mac and Bill Gates regrets letting beat Microsoft. Some of you all are out of touch and living in the past.

They have android for PCs? I thought it was an OS for phones.

    /Edit

I just checked - MS apps don't run on Linux except through an interface, nor does Adobe and then not all that reliably, so unless all you want to do is use browser based apps, you are pretty much SOL except for any software designed for Linux.

Also checked Android - you can install Android apps but there still is no PC version of Android itself.

It's so much crisper than my 5-year-old Gateway and it has Bang & Olufsen speakers.

Now I just have to get used to Windows 10. The first thing I noticed was the absence of the familiar "Computer" and "Control Panel". Fortunately they still existed under Windows System and could be pinned to start, which is currently full of default garbage that I will shortly be editing.

One good thing is that I was able to sync my chrome account, so I have all my favorites and stored passwords.

Any tips and tricks for Windows 10?
    Oh boy! Fuuuunnn

    Windows 10 too eh?

    Keep up the report.
