On several occasions I saw North Korean citizens attempting to flee south gunned down. The best one was at night using the thermals- I heard AK fire, called it in, and observed. I saw one red blob running towards the boarder (near my check-point) more shots, then a line of red blobs behind the running man. More shots, and the led read blob drops. End shooting. Called it in. Continued with my guard shift. Don't give me your $#@! - the NKs should fear their government not the US.
Nth Korea has been living under sanctions since the 50's ........what good have they done ?

Following are snapshots and videos from my week in the country, with an effort to show the people and some of the impressive infrastructure and developments that corporate media almost certainly will never show........................https://www.mintpressnews.com/north-...Yyoy_vMfKd3wR0
You really got sucked in. Wow. In your hatred for the USA and willingness to accept propaganda you got taken. There are scores of stories, UN studies etc. C'mon man.

I believe this show evidence they are effective. This incident a perfect example, why you fail to see that doesn't escape me. Firstly, this is a sanction that has now been enforced. it is a EU sanction, it is a sanction on Syria's Assad Regime that Iran is trying to violate. The EU in fact has been tolerant with Iran, did not withdraw from the Accord as the US did. Secondly, this sends a clear message to Iran and other's. EU sanctions will indeed be enforced. My post earlier needs to stand corrected, these are EU not UN sanctions. Finally, it is not confirmed, but the British intervention here came in support of US policy on Iran. We have been stepping up pressure on Iran as everyone well know.

Why would Iran for example, PJL, be under sanction by the European Union?

Like most liberals out there, the mere fact that the US might appear on the paper work is all JPL needs to hate America, all over again.
They think that Australia is a world power and controls, or at least should, rule America's international policies.

While Sth Korea has been living under economic health and well being since those same 50's, the good that's done quite obvious.

Is the forum aware, South Korea is now the 5th largest exporter...in the world. From that tiny peninsula.

Australia is 24th, not even half of Sth Korea's export totals.

    North Korea isn't measured. Irrelevant.

North Korea has a China and East Asia for a Market.....and doesn't mention when discussing exports. South Korea...…..5th in the world.

Stark difference when the border is crossed.
