    Sometimes Evil wins.

This was relevant to 4th of July -- I apologize for late message.

American War of Independence could have brought Freedom to slaves in 1780s had British won. Unfortunately, the Battle of Yorktown was a blunder which cost Britain her colonies. It also cost slaves their chance to be free. Very few of those who hoped to be freed then saw 1865.

Had Britain won, Modern America could have been a state which provides for everyone in need -- like Canada, Australia, NZ and to a degree UK. American Penal System could have been humane like in UK, Canada, Australia, NZ. Most of the 572,000 people who died by firearms in USA 1999 -- 2016 could have been alive.

To a great extent, American Colonies were ideological progenitors of Confederacy and grand-progenitors of modern Democratic Party.

Britain abolished slavery in 1833. You're referring to Lord Dumore's Proclamation which offered freedom and land to blacks who fought for the Crown.
Whoever criticizes capitalism, while approving immigration, whose working class is its first victim, had better shut up. Whoever criticizes immigration, while remaining silent about capitalism, should do the same.

Yes -- it was abolished in British Colonies in 1833 and Britain Proper in 1772.

Perhaps it would have been abolished in America in 1780s as a penalty for Rebellion.

Great Britain today would be German.

We'd not have all of the phenomenal things that the United States has brought to this world; including, but not limited to, the Right of Revolution, the right to criticize the government, the principle of Federalism, the consent of the governed, the status of women, the melting pot, freedom of worship, the public school, voluntary giving, technology, due process, the right to counsel, the right to a jury of your peers, the right to a speedy trial, freedom of the press, freedom of religion, and a system of controlled capitalism that has yielded the highest living standards on earth that has made possible a society as nearly classless as man has ever known.

We also wouldn't have ferris wheels, chocolate chip cookies, dental floss, clasp lockers, hearing aids, cardiac defibrillators, radiocarbon dating, traffic lights, crash test dummies, the Ohio State Buckeyes, Assembly lines, lasers, LED's, GPS, chemotherapy, video games, email, the internet, mobild phones, personal computers, and the internet.

Who would've sent England all of those guns when it was preparing for the German invasion without America?

I'm not certain the Britts would of done that as much of the cash from their cow colonies depended upon slave labor. Slavery was a blight on human history with many, many offenders throughout history. And they are not all gone. Madison indeed made a deal with the devil that lasted 90 years instead of 20. However, in this country slavery has now been illegal for over 150 years and no one today was a slave or slave owner . Most did not even have grad parents who were.
The best we can do is try to end illegal slavery in our country.

The Brits still profited off of the slave trade after they abolished it.

It is not the State's job to provide for everyone. .

Check it out, another thread that conveniently neglects to mention how the Dixiecrat slavery-lovers became Republicans, and how essentially all modern white supremacists are Republican.

This isn't debatable, not by any honest person. The Dixiecrats became Republicans. The White Supremacists who want slavery back are Republicans. Forgetting to mention such things is lying-by-omission. Lying, of course, is a favorite tool of the evil and the authoritarian.

Stop it. Nobody wants slavery back. Oh, maybe there's one or two somewhere in this country; but really nobody wants slavery back.

Think about it -- no ferris wheel and England being German.
