Why would you go out of your way for something like that? I actually drive farther to get to Lowe's, but not for any political reasons; Lowe's provides better service to me, their plumbing guy is amazingly knowledgeable and helpful, and they cut the Plexiglas panels I sometimes need for projects for free. Both places give me a military discount, which I appreciate. I couldn't care less about the politics of either chain's owners.

I said I like Home Dept better and I should clarify I like it alot better. Why? first of all home depots prices are better on many items. Second Home depot sells ryobi as their standard tool and they are better than lowes brand kobalt and have much more to choose from.

Home Depots flooring prices are better, they have better lighting and superior brands imho on many items.

Let me ask if liberals are going out of their way to boycott home depots and driving past them to go to lowes to protest support for trump, then why shouldnt I drive past lowes to support Home Depot.

I use Home Depot because it's 1/2 mile closer and access is more convenient.

Home Depot's owner has contributed more than two billion dollars of his own money to a variety of causes. Causes liberals generally approve of.

Trump of course didn't pay at all in some cases. That is your right as an American but except for adding pollution it does little, why not go to a local hardware store and support small business.

Most of them are gone -- run off by big-box DIY stores. Like ordering from Amazon -- it's just more convenient, free shipping (with Prime), better selection and cheaper prices. We're entering a new era, although the local lumberyard still has its place -- lumber at those bigger stores sucks.

I didn't say I boycotted it -- I do make a point each and every time of going up and complaining about the lack of inclusionary signage. Each and every time. I was in court in New Philly mid June.

I'll be honest, the Spanish signage drives me crazy too. I hate when some lazy stock clerk stocks items with the Spanish labeling forward, or even French, lol. That's gotta be galling for you, no Polish or Italian labeling, but......French.

I generally go to my locally owned hardware/lumber yard. They don't always have what I need for a specific project. Sometimes they have things Lowe's or Home Depot doesn't stock.

SO where do you buy a tool to cut off your nose? Lowes? Home Depot? Amazon?

The Lowes and Home Depots carry little to no specialty wood just pine, white, yellow and treated. The lumber yards in my neck of the woods are all locally owned.

I shop at either or depending upon which direction I'm going. The closest is Lowes, about 30 miles.
