Being seriously bi-polar helped me in my career. In a manic phase I could and would do more work in 3-4 days than some did in a month. I had a career defining "Eureka" moment in a manic phase. It hit me like a brick how to partner constants and variables with units of currency , define a parameter and apply the set against a diminishing certainty, time. It was a manner in which I devised a way to "bend" the value of a number and/or set of equations. The downside was I would get in moods where I didnt want to talk to anyone for a few days too. But..."bending" which I used to comprise synthetic neutral, shorts and longs became my stock in trade. Poetry in numeric motion. ..
