It is also a very good way to grow government at all levels and control with differential enforcement and out of proportion sentences for some crimes. Especially those of the blue collar variety and those that have no victim.
Again, prisons are filled with anti-social savages not kids busted for smoking a joint in the park. Why do libertarians cling to this nonsense?
Whoever criticizes capitalism, while approving immigration, whose working class is its first victim, had better shut up. Whoever criticizes immigration, while remaining silent about capitalism, should do the same.

    Right, same here.

But be realistic. It's one thing to be a flag waiving sock puppet like unfortunately so many are but to rank the US up against the likes of Stalin?

I don't think the US could have gone there at that point in history even though I wouldn't put it past the the administrations at the time but that I think is the difference, or was the difference between a democracy and other central government structures.

I think Churchill had a quote relevant to that but I can't recall it at the moment.

Democracy is the least bad of all forms of government? Something like that.

This is idiotic. Statistics help us see the reality of a situation. The reality in this case being the fact that...well a tiny fraction of the population will see the inside of a prison. Of course many if not most of this tiny minority are bad people. Apparently, Dr. Who thinks their incarceration is tragic. Listening to a lot of Biden these days?

No, something like "you can't just mow down whole towns in a democracy like you can with a constitutional monarchy" or something like that.

Why are you talking about me in the third person while quoting me? 2,298,300 people are incarcerated in America. To put it in perspective, that's a lot more than the population of some states and 10 times the population of Newark.
