Well, we knew this was going to happen. The Washington Post received detailed plans of the nationwide raids on illegals by Immigration and Customs Enforcement. This leak caused a slight delay, with President Trump even hoping that some resolution could be hashed out in Congress. Yeah, that was never going to happen. Last week, illegals were rounded up, as they should be, but Democrats and their allies in the media have started to offer ‘how to avoid ICE’ tutorials to those who shouldn’t be here. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi have offered such advice in the wake of this law enforcement action. And now, we have the Charlotte Observer printing such advice for illegals. It offers protocols on what these people should do if ICE agents appear at their residences, workplace, or in public:


The advice is in the link. We won’t publish that here. This isn’t about families for Democrats, folks. We all know that. The media might spew their talking points, their bleeding heart trash views about this, that, and the other. The fact is the Left would be fine with these people living in squalor; they just need to vote Democratic. That’s the end game. Keep these illegals here, grant them legal status, get them on a path to citizenship, and get them registered to vote as soon as possible. It’s a generations-long project. It’s why Democrats are so against the constitutional and rational citizenship question on our census, which could impact congressional apportionment. For years, Democrats have swelled their ranks on the Hill by riding on the backs of illegal aliens counted in the census. It’s time to get tough. It’s time to deport people who shouldn’t be here. It’s time to revise our asylum laws as well. And the Left appears to be okay with allowing millions of illegals to violate federal immigration laws. Its more than just time to get tough with Democrats and their ilk. Its time to declare them domestic enemies and help them solve their problems with reality.

I think that a different strategy is really what is required. Maybe that means redirecting some blood money from the Middle Eastern allies who do nothing to go towards the humanitarian crises that cause mass migration in Central and South America. Maybe it's legalizing marijuana at the federal level to reduce the power of some of the drug cartels through Central and South America. Finding ways to reduce the push factors that cause people to move is really the only way to stop what's happening at the southern border. No wall or law is really going to change that and the United States, as a world leader, isn't in a position to adopt some of the more extreme methods that idiots espouse (shooting people, for example).

The United States could also create a formula that determines a sustainable level of immigrants and asylum seekers to allow in each year, adjusted according to what it might cost, and with controls that permit highly skilled (or specifically trained) individuals to fill the gaps that Americans can't/won't' fill.

I am afraid diverting money to the blood suckers who are in government positions in those other countries would do no good either. They have a history of keeping it and spending it on themselves. Even charitable organizations who work down there have to "tribute" to them for their permits and such.

Sometimes we just have to recognize a crap hole country is going to be a crap hole country and there is nothing we can do about it.
While I sympathize with them living there, I can only say I am glad i don't. There is not much myself or the government can do to change it.

It helps to also understand the general personality of those living there is extremely violent.
Honduras and El Salvador are some of the most violent places on the entire earth, and have been for decades.
They are not going to fix themselves and our government is not going to fix them either.
It is just the way it is. I see no solution to fixing the problems in their countries.
They don't either. that is why they have cycles of revolution & murder all the time.

Sometimes you just have to realize a place is going to be a crap hole and stay a crap hole unless those that live there decide to do something about it besides leave.

One thing that often gets overlooked is that, if there were no jobs for illegals, they wouldn't come here.

We should crack down hard on employers of illegals. So far, neither party wants to do that.

Not just employers. Anyone who offers them aid and comfort should be arrested and imprisoned. That includes people who rent them places to live, educators who allow them to attend school, legislators who offer them sanctuary, city and state officials who offer them advice and aid them in avoiding deportation, anyone at all, regardless of station or position who offers them aid and comfort.
