The first time I heard this song I was with friend of mine in Memphis. He was about 12-15 feet away. I absolutely loved this the first time I heard it. We were both members of the " sorry mfers " club. A signal between was often used. I lookwd over at him to flash a peace sign of " digging it". He already had a sign pointing at me. He was giving me the finger lol. A genuine "sorry mfer"...lol. On my mind today, old sport.

I'm on a Dr. hook trifecta. This plus "Love you a little bit more" and "Spending the night together". "Cover of the Rolling Stone" I just like and the other two are because my anniversary just went by but has not been celebrated yet. And I am trying to convince myself that I could get up from the floor even once at my age. LOL

Why?

2 reasons.
1. Knock knock , who's there? Guess who isnt ? Uh..female species , two legger., DOA. Ejected from the playing field. Finality. Miss...you...

2. ...shutting down...hard not to. I do not want to project an aura of " woe is cotton poor cotton. Cotton can eat dogsht for all I care. Its L-I-F-E. Ironically dying is part of living. Ill be ok. Maybe she took the exit to pardon herself from me.

3. Im still one of the luckiest mofos on earth. I'll be ok.
