Menkampf is an online phenomena where misandrist quotes are modified with the word "men" being replaced by a minority group. By July 2019, r/menkampf is the largest subreddit making fun of Misandry. It is similar to r/tumblrinaction and r/kotakuinaction which make fun of SJW rhetoric in general. Subreddit r/inceltears makes fun of online misogyny.
Menkampf is problematic on many levels. First, antisemitic jokes are antisemitic. Racist jokes are racist. A lot of things posted there are very vile -- even if the posters claim to be joking. Antisemitism and Racism have a long and tragic history, joking about which is very wrong. Joking about Megatragedy is evil. You can not fight Hate Speech by engaging in it!
Second, the literary presentation of menkampf is lazy and thus very low quality. Just replacing words takes least amount of work. It also makes least amount of sense. For instance, there was a post on r/Twoxchromosomes by a young lady who was walking to her car. A man who knows his place moved to the other side and apologized for presenting a danger by his masculine presence. Just replacing the word "man" by a minority group makes it look like a farce. In order to make the scenario realistic, the year also has to be replaced, although it can still be '19. The lady would be going to Model T, she would be holding a hairpin rather then a pepper spray can, and inside the car she would have a white feather rather then a @@@@@ hat. Racism would be as acceptable as misandry is in '19 of this century.
Third, misandry should be considered as vile as any other bigotry because men are human. Not because these quotes are vile when the word men is replaced by another group, but because we are humans like women. Hopefully in two decades, the new generation of men and some women will understand that men have been subject to decades of undeserved hate and discrimination.
Even though historical comparisons of hate and discrimination may be insensitive, they do contain an important truth. No two historical phenomena, like old racism and new misandry are exactly the same. Nevertheless, every type of bigotry/discrimination has many similarities. Hate speech against men has many themes similar to racism throughout History -- dehumanization, collective guilt, and threat narrative. All these phenomena have existed for millennia.
Modern Western Society is neither more tolerant nor more humane then it was centuries ago. Acceptable targets of bigotry have changed, but bigotry is in place. Forms of bigotry acceptable in the previous centuries are rightly viewed as truly monstrous. Racist views which were widely acceptable in early 20th century would make one a pariah in 2019. Hopefully, hate and discrimination against men practiced in 2019 would be viewed as barbaric by future generations.
