The Churches have organized where Christ is no longer the head of the Church. Their foundations are crumbling because they no longer stand for the Word of God. People always blame the media, schools, ect but I blame the pulpits. Those others couldn't form against us if men of God were preaching His Word, in season and out of season.

Bingo..! My pastor chose to not only inject himself into a very devisive and personal situation with my family but then began taking sides. I finally took him aside and said " it's a good thing Jesus wasnt like you or you would not have a job". He then said " meaning what'? I said " I will rephrase for you. I have learned by watching your toxic interaction with some of the members of this church that Satan does not use his people to recruit and do his dirty work, he uses Gods people. They are much harder to initially detect and very effective in creating the chaos and damage that Satan laughs about, you sob"

If you want to remove one of our Pastors for preaching the word of God, you have to talk to Christ. We have no committies, boardmembers, telling them what they can say and can't. The only way they can be removed is when they no longer qualtify as a pastor according to Gods word,

There's that liberal individualism. God's word through you.

Family and community doesn't require a common religion or any religion to exist. Religion can be as divisive as it is unifying. Churches have traditionally obligated parishioners to partake in religious community events which obviously maintains that connection between the various members. People like a sense of belonging to a community, however religion is not the only way that people can commune. It just has the advantage of playing on the faith of its membership to compel them to commune whether they really want to or not.

The biggest enemy of community today is our lifestyles which often involve long commutes to work and working from home. People often don't have the time to get to know their immediate neighbors, let alone members of the community at large and there is a finite number of people that people will consider a part of their "community".

I have lived in the suburbs and in the city. TBH, there is more community in the city because people spend less time going to and from work, so they have more time to get to know the neighbors. What I do know is that in small towns where people don't necessarily share religion, there is a much greater sense of community. It comes from familiarity and the idea that they share in the success or failure of the town and have much greater say in its development. If there is town hall meeting, virtually everyone is there. It's really about numbers, proximity and time.
In quoting my post, you affirm and agree that you have not been goaded, provoked, emotionally manipulated or otherwise coerced into responding.

"The difference between what we do and what we are capable of doing would suffice to solve most of the world’s problems.”
    Mahatma Gandhi

No I am a independent fundamental Baptist. The pastors run the Church and the one over the Church is Christ and the Word of God. We are not the ones who left the Catholic Church in protest and calls ourselves Protestants.

See Chris I tryed to explain why I have problems with the others that are organized. They threaten the pastors, tell them they can't preach that part of the Bible or they will be out of a job. They don't want complaints to mess with their money or what the Bible calls "
teaching things which they ought not, for
    filthy
    lucre's sake.
I know you are not religious but if you have ever sit in those you will notice they vere away from many passages when not in season. I put a thread in the History thread and yes it's long, Being Baptist that explains who we are.
