Actually, I think they have/do/will eat humans if there's nothing else or better available.
Perhaps when the oceans are sufficiently depleted of what they do like to eat, we'll find out.

While most in science is suspected and yet unproved there is a ton of evidence to the fact that orcas enjoy killing. Actually dolphins do to.

Funny thing about the super intelligent species on this planet. We like to kill and we like to do it for our own gratification.

That's why the political system of anarchy won't ever work. The betas would always be controlled by the alphas. As it is in nature so it is in human society.

There is far more evidence that bottlenose dolphins engage in 'gang' activities, where they ram other porpoise species for fun or territorialism. They don't necessarily kill them, but their victims often later die from internal injuries. Sometimes the victims are young female dolphins. Competition between male dolphins can be pretty fierce. Then again adult male dolphins will kill baby dolphins to induce the females to come back into oestrus.

When I lived at the beach I would always watch the dolphins playing with the surfers. The dolphins would splash the surfers or knock them into the water then laugh. There is nothing happier or more infectious than dolphin laughter.

I distinctly remember watching footage of orcas playing with their food.

Perhaps but it's a less than snugly display of orca behavior.

We can't anthropomorphize them, yet we can still recognize their intelligence and the fact that they are far more complex than we credit them.
