Tyranny is the government's default position.
Call your state legislators and insist they approve the Article V convention of States to propose amendments.

I pledge allegiance to the Constitution as written and understood by this nation's founders, and to the Republic it created, an indivisible union of sovereign States, with liberty and justice for all.

Why don't you? It's a legitimate question based on centuries of history.

The only end to government honing, tweaking, expanding, modifying and strengthening oppressive laws and government power like this that do not and cannot do what they purport to do from day one is your death.

Therein lies the problem. The compelling reason to stop the ease of gun show purchases in Virginia is the fact that most of the firearms used in gun violence in DC come from Virginia. Many of those firearms come from gun shows purchased in Virginia.
Why not stop that from happening?
    Sounds pretty compelling.

In fact congress should spend some time getting old laws off the books. We have the basics covered long ago, each new law limits freedom in some way and should have to be justified with logic, not whipped up emotion!

I'm sorry but you are very, very wrong. The reason for gun violence in DC is not availability of guns from Virginia. The citizens of Virginia should not be punished for sweeping the fact of it under the rug.

You take a handful of statistics and go "Aha! I know! I have the answer!" You absolutely do not, and the fact is, the answer is just too distasteful to you to accept.

Yes, in accordance with the second amendment 100% background checks would be appropriate.
Is there a reason NOT to have background checks?

So, states rely on the feds for background checks. I guess we've had this conversation before.
Actually all States do for new purchases from an FFL dealer. The real question is do the Feds keep a list of who is checked?

    It's a rhetorical question.

I never claimed to be a genius. You keep saying that as if it is an insult. Of course you're being sarcastic in your own way because that keeps you from actually answering the tough questions put to you. But it's meaningless to me.

The questions still stand. You still won't answer them. Why are you here? To convince people to be a liberal hell bent on taking away guns cause it's the "smart" thing to do? You're wasting your time.

I'd respect you more if you sacked up, put a mask on, dressed all in black, called minorities who support Trump Nazis and actually fought for your beliefs. We both know that isn't going to happen.
