Whats missing from this thread are the women, that dress in clothes that enhance their appearance, have perfect hair and nails and makeup an go to clubs hunting for hookups, just like men but somehow that never gets mentioned, its only the male behavior thats abhorrent.

There is too much known today that blew up all the illusions and myths of the Innocent women things in generations past. Today women committ heinous crimes, today there are TONS of women pedophilles and women killing children and women sexualizing men.

The day of all that being under wraps is over just read the damn news online.

For example, "hentai", which is animated pornography (frequently rape porn involving underaged school girls with impossibly gigantic boobs being attacked by monsters, aliens, robots, animals, gangs of men, etc.) is the fastest-rising category of pornography at present, and currently the second-most-searched term on Pornhub (the leading online pornographer) after 'lesbian'. In fact, it's the #1 category among teens and college-age youth now. You can't get farther away from reality than that, where characters commonly have boobs bigger than their faces, dicks the size of small buildings, and the scenarios are typically the most brutal and blatantly misogynistic in all of pornography, involving all manner of illegal activities (rape, children, mutilation, bestiality, etc.) and stuff that's physically impossible.

Where we disagree is in the idea that people's preference for highly unrealistic material is somehow a good thing. Consider that there is now a whole generation of people who's first, and perhaps only, form of sex education has been exposure to this sort of material. That clearly has negative affects in real life. In addition to producing serious body image issues among both men and women alike, you're also seeing consequences of it in the increasing commonality of practices like anal sex that are fun for men, but painful for women, as well as women (especially young women) being involuntarily grabbed by the throat and choked during sex, and so on and so on; practices that young men are clearly learning for pornography. And it's demonstrably resulting in the women especially becoming less interested in even having sex at all; you're seeing a trend away from sexual activity altogether that's being led by younger women. (See point 4 here.) Is that really a good thing?
So a society less interested in sex might not be the worst thing in the world. The sexbots are coming and that could change everything. Imagine a workplace with less gawking, less cleavage showing and less flirting. Give the young women what they want boys. Then after a while they can jump on dating sites that are really only for the serious. Don't worry there will be male bots too and both types of bot, or however many we need now, with having teaching programs. Even if it does interfere with reproduction for a generation or so ( and it won't because that involves sex AND ego.) we could stand a bit of a population drop.

Sex bots/dolls/whatever don't exactly teach men to regard women as something other than sex objects so much as they, as literally as possible, objectify women. I would be concerned about how a user of these types of things might interact with actual women should he ever opt to do so. It should also bother one that many of these dolls imitate children and that they can be made to imitate the appearance of real women and girls that one knows as well.

(I think one is also kidding themselves about male sex bots. Currently only 5% of sex robots are imitations of men, and furthermore most of those are purchased by gay men, not women. There simply isn't much female demand for these devices. The demand comes one-sidedly from men.)

The main thing that concerns me about sex dolls and sex robots though is their use as propaganda by the sex industry. For example, it's fairly common in Europe right now for sex doll brothels to be set up in areas where actual brothels are illegal (e.g. sometimes in close proximity to schools). In that way, they serve as a kind of entry point into the concept of buying sex from women. They help to legitimize the prostitution of women at a conceptual level.

The technology isn't there yet for male sex bots for women. It will assuredly get there. Then male sex bots will outsell female sex bots.
