    And still is, by most.

After all, it was feminists, like Polly, who once argument gender is a social construct, right up until the trans community adopted it and the feminists said oops.

Don't listen to this person, @Rationalist, he has no clue what he's talking about.

Radical feminists, including me, do in fact reject the concept of gender as a social construct, which is precisely why we reject transgenderism!

It wasn't very long ago that you were arguing for gender as a social construct.

Rationalist is rational. You should not discourage discussion.

You're misreading the emphasis in my statement. Radical feminists, including me, DO REGARD gender as a social construct. That's why we reject transgenderism. Do you get what I'm saying now?

Postmoderns, since Hegel, have rejected the law of noncontradiction.

I will offer one last attempt to clarify before concluding that your responses have been in bad faith.

    When I said...

"Radical feminists, including me, do in fact reject the concept of gender as a social construct, which is precisely why we reject transgenderism!"

...the statement was meant to be mentally divided by the reader in this way:

PART ONE: Radical feminists, including me, do in fact reject the concept of gender <-- This points to the fact that we reject gender.
PART TWO: as a social construct... <-- This explains WHY reject the idea of gender: we reject it BECAUSE we view it as a social construct, not a material reality.

If you cannot understand at this point, it's because you're choosing not to.

I think the name "Spinster" is exceedingly clever. Am I understanding you correctly, the movement to which you subscribe is against gender politics? Does that mean you don't support this whole 187 genders nonsense? I was recently asked on a medical form what my "preferred pronoun" was. I had to look up what that even means. I was tempted to write in "rutabaga", but I left it blank, lol.

I suppose trans-identified people would take it that way, but facts are more important than feelings here.

Radical feminists don't oppose gender because we enjoy hurting people's feelings. We do so to secure the rights of women to privacy, safety, fair play, and freedom of speech and assembly, as well as the rights of lesbians to reject the advances of men (even men who claim to be women) and to still be recognized as lesbians after so doing. We also do so to end the child abuse of medicalizing children needlessly and otherwise in what we firmly believe are the better mental health interests of trans-identified people themselves.

Very logical. I hope it catches on with the hard left.
