It takes a strong will to resist one's weakness. Kudos to you, especially after your loss.

I personally have never had an attachment so strong that I couldn't walk away, smoking cigarettes included. Took me a while, and the appropriate timing, but I've done it twice in the last 15 years.

I have several people in my extended family who are in the 'recovering' department. One, has been 20+ years, the others assorted numbers of 5 years to 2 days. There is no shame in acknowledging a weakness, only in not doing something about it.

Just curious but what was it that prompted the ressurrection of a year old story that wasn't particularly newsworthy to begin with? @donttread

Police stopped the white box truck in the 7100 block of West Glades Road, about three miles from Udell’s home. Lachazo was sweating and shaking. He wore short pants, and the hair on his lower legs was burned. He was taken to Boca Raton Regional Hospital for treatment.

Jorge Luis Dupre Lachazo, 21, of Hialeah, is accused of beating a woman and setting her on fire after delivering a washer and dryer to her home in Boca Raton, police said. (Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office)

When investigators searched the house they found blood on the tile floor of the laundry room and burn marks on the washing machine and walls. Charred debris and clothing lay on the floor, and a strong chemical odor hung in the air.

A bloody wooden mallet sat on the washing machine; a glass wine bottle with blood and hair lay on the floor. A pair of broken prescription glasses had fallen between the washer and dryer, police said.

In the kitchen, a can of acetone was found near the stove, which had been pulled away from the wall. Investigators later determined that the can bore Lachazo’s fingerprints.

During questioning by police, Lachazo admitted to knocking the woman unconscious by hitting her on the left side of her head with the mallet, a report said. Then he closed the garage door, got the acetone from the garage and spread the chemical around the laundry room. He said he didn’t know how it ignited, police said.

If he is set free for any reason patriots need to track him down. You know what to do.

Yes, but not as much as alcohol which is present in far more criminal behavior then pot. If fact while the drunk person tends to under estimate his level of impairment the stoner tend to do the opposite.
The reffer madness comment was a reference to a very old, hysterical "prevention video" about the dangers of pot which was so over the top that it has been a joke ever since. If you want a good laugh sometime look it up. It's funny but it damaged prevention efforts for years to come.

Maybe or maybe he's just a violent man who also uses drugs. At any rate most people use drugs without murdering old ladies so I think the guy has to never see daylight again.

All those Yankees who think this is the place to be. They can't handle the heat and humidity and so go berserk.

Edit: After looking at the photo of the accused I will have to agree with the poster who said something about the influx of Hispanics.

There are days when I go to Walmart or Sams and feel like I made a wrong turn and I am in Tijuana.
