How we know that Einstein's General Relativity can't be quite right

Einstein didn't replace Newtonian Physics with General Relativity, he improved upon it, just as he predicted someone would improve upon his theory. The search has been on since the 1930s.

Over mine too. I've read about physics for years and get the general gist of it, but the details are lost on me.

    It beats talking about fascists!

    Let's mix fascist and physics.
How about i start a new novel about a dozen 2019 male and female radical antifa types who get caught in a warp and sent to the future where all their dreams are real.
They get a look at how their policies are implemented in 2079.

The first time they are overheard saying HIS or HER's they get belted across the mouth with a nightstick by the AntiFa Speech Police.
Gender pronouns have been declared immoral and subject to immediate correction. (nightstick across the mouth)

@Chris you want to go throwing science around on this site? Dont you know we have democrats on here. They dont need no stinking facts and science. It is all racist anyway. Why do you think they call them Black Holes? What about Dark Matter and Alien worlds, not to mention the classification of some planets as not suitable for life..(code for $#@!hole planets) and finally in our solar system have planets named for Rapists (Jupiter), Warmongers (Mars), Female Sex Slaves (Venus) and a white track star (Mercury).

Already happened with the discover of CPT!

This is a very good video. The last portion about a black hole slowly decaying via Hawking radiation and the process not being reversible does go counter to both quantum theory and classical physics where the equations are not dependent on the direction of time. Strict causality is violated in quantum theory with some events like radioactive decay occurring without a cause and there is experimental evidence of a measurement of a particle effecting the path taken by the particle (the effect is not always preceded by the cause). I think that was what she was getting at. The equations of both quantum physics and classical physics argue against there being an arrow of time but we observe an arrow of time -why?

In quantum theory, a particle is in a superposition of states, possibly an infinite number of states , before the wave function collapses and we have only 1 state or the other states continue to exist in other universes (many worlds interpretation). General relativity was a big improvement over Newton's theory of gravity and it is far more elegant. I like the theory because it dispense with the concept of a force to explain the effect and it is replaced with spacetime curvature - no need for particles to mediate the force. However, the all other forces are mediated by particles and so it is hypothesized that there must be gravitons mediating gravity. Why do we need both gravitons and spacetime curvature to explain the interaction?
