Opinions about the Hyundai's, particularly the Veracruz ?? I'm not familiar with this brand, mostly wondering about longevity ??

I have a the Santa Fe! It is not fancy, but taken care of it is very reliable.

I have had a Santa Fe and a Sonata. Had 160,000 miles on the Santa Fe and have 130,000 on the Sonata. Traded the Santa Fe for the Sonata because my wife wanted a new car. In the market again and will definitely look at the Hyundai once more
If there is any weak link its in the electrical system. Have had a "spot of bother" with the interior lights not coming on until I jiggled the switch
Hyundai and Kia are fundamentally the same car, both have 5 yr bumper to bumper and 10 yr power train warrantys.
I believe that they are one of the best values for the money at their price range, of course you have to research specific models

Thanks. Here's what I'm looking at @Admiral Ackbar @nathanbforrest45 @Common a 2008 Hyundai Veracruz 3.5 v6, AWD, 123K, tow package and all the bells and whistles for $6950. New, this vehicle cost around 41K. Good deal, bad deal or about right ??
Both my mom and my aunt have the Hyundai Tuscon and love it. They have nothing but good things to say about it.
I almost went with the Kona when I was looking for a car, but I went with a different crossover with better gas mileage. The difference was marginal but important since I plan to drive it to Canada and back. The second reason, because the specifications were almost identical, was the color (which is embarrassing to admit, haha). I looked at everything down to the turning radius and width of the car, but the Hyundai Kona basically came in obnoxious colors, and I wasn't having it. I do not desire an orange or bright green vehicle with the only other option being black. This is the same reason I did not end up with the Subaru Crosstrek. Again, almost the same as the Kona and CX-3 but wonky colors and not as great gas mileage.
I think you pay a slightly higher destination charge with Hyundai.
This didn't matter to me, but Hyundai also appeared to have better horsepower and torque on their vehicles.
I would suggest looking at the Tuscon because the Santa Fe is basically a cruise ship and the Kona is kind of small. The Tuscon is large enough for most people/families, but not ginormous. Not so familiar with the Veracruz, specifically.
