I love my Chinese made Iphone. I told the kids when they were young and would complain about cutting the lawn that they could be in China locked inside a factory making Iphones. They would roll their eyes, but I would remind them those Chinese kids making Iphones had a purpose and that was to support the Maoist regime!

The Chairman smiles down on Counterfeit and Cheaply Made goods in China.

Well they didn't just mention NFL Jerseys did they. What did it say again. Here go with the fine print.

Sports merchandise is only a fraction of the illegal counterfeiting industry as well. Counterfeit goods account for nearly $500 billion annually in trade, and Chinese companies are the biggest offender, producing 80% of these counterfeit goods. Meanwhile, Americans are the biggest consumer, buying about 60% to 80%.....snip~

Now lets see if you can comprehend what intellectual property is about and why counterfeit goods is a problem with the Chinese.

My point still stands. If an American consumer can buy the same thing for 50% less or more they will.

Deceptive selling practices doesn't really support your 'capitalism!' call. It is defrauding people, and infringes the copyright. I solidly believe in caveat emptor, but does a person have to be on their guard constantly, with every item they may purchase?

I suppose you'd feel the same way when deceptive selling practices are applied to senior citizens and the infirm....

That doesn't mean that counterfeit goods isn't a problem. Nor does it have anything to do with most Americans not even having a clue as to what it means or how the cheap $#@! affects our economy.

I’ve never understood this thing some people have with wearing a jersey.

I'll admit, I'm guilty of buying a $25 jersey, stuff that would cost probably $200 here. I'm not paying that much for a jersey. The quality is good

The problem far exceeds that of just buying Jerseys.
