ALEKSANDR SOLZHENITSYN
Live Not By Lies (1974)
A quote from a Russian:
..."we can see that the young and presumptuous people who thought they would make our country just and happy through terror, bloody rebellion and civil war were themselves misled. No thanks, fathers of education! Now we know that infamous methods breed infamous results. Let our hands be clean!"
Blaisdell, Bob. Essays on Civil Disobedience (Dover Thrift Editions). Kindle Edition.
Some of you may remember Solzhenitsyn. He lived after the October Revolution that toppled a monarchy, replacing it with soviet communism, with international socialism. What followed after was eight decades of poverty, injustice, tyranny, and despair.
Today, thanks to the same "fathers of education," the radicals, the dreamers, the idealists, the Marxists, we are standing on the verge of our own October Revolution that will usher in the same one-party tyranny.
I wonder why we do not fear it. Why do we believe this time it will be different?
