A misdemeanor . (2) A person violating this section may be imprisoned for not more than 6 months or fined not more than $1,000.00, or both. An offense is committed under this section if the communication either originates or terminates in this state and may be prosecuted at the place of origination or termination.
So, we'll see what happens. About that excessive bail? ( yes, I understand States have no such limitation) Ridiculous. Also, How about the apparent conflict of interest as it pertains to the judge. She's targeting a man for having something to say about her.
Abuse of office.
You are wrong about police.
It's fantastic that citizens have no safeguards or protections for our rights. We just have to hope that those in authority are honest and just. What a wonderful system.
I suspect that they are relying on part (a) Threatening physical harm or damage to any person or property in the course of a conversation or message through the use of a telecommunications service or device.
The defendant threatened to find and expose dirt on the judge/court i.e. “Dada back to digging and you best believe I’m gonna dig up all the skeletons in this court’s closet.”
Of course I don't view that as threatening harm or damage. So unless there are more compelling threats, this is judicial overreach.

That is the role of defense counsel. Hopefully the defendant can afford competent counsel or some defense firm that is outraged by this offers their services pro bono. The prosecution has to reveal to the defense the basis for the charge. If that evidence is questionable, then the defense will challenge it, likely in the press.

Power always thinks it has a great soul, and vast views, beyond the comprehension of the weak. And that it is doing God service when it is violating all His laws.
