I've seen slowdowns now and then but nothing major.

The vBulletin reviews are overwhelmingly bad at 79%.
You might want to consider some changes.
Sometimes cheaper isn't better.

So am I. I am shown that I am the last poster in the thread that actually continues on for another page or more.

I think vBulletin is one of the most ingenious software programs ever devised. I wonder if tPF sister site has similar problems. Maybe an update or something?

The update theory is what I would pursue. In my experience however, getting software and/or hardware vendors to admit they are in any way the cause of such a problem is like pulling teeth. They spend more time deflecting than helping.
Not all of them are like that but many are. I always made sure I had all updates done on the computer or server I was calling about including anti-virus, OS updated, software updates and yes even BIOS.
Good luck figuring out what's happening. I'd be interested to know if you ever do find the solution.
