Former Secretary of Defense James Mattis cautioned that the internal strife roiling the country between those who disagree politically is serious enough to be considered a national security threat.

CBS' Face the Nation host Margaret Brennan asked Mattis on Sunday what he thinks is the biggest national security threat to the United States, to which the retired Marine Corps general responded, “I think the biggest national security threat can be broken into two segments."


Mattis first pointed to Russia and China as the nation's most dangerous external enemies because of their authoritarian and imperialistic impulses. "So, externally I would look at those two. That’s why we rewrote the national defense strategy to acknowledge the reality of those nations — not the nations that we wanted to be dealing with, but the Russia of Putin, the reality; the China of President Xi."


Mattis then reflected that the country's internal issues might be even more of an existential threat. "But internally, my bigger concern is twofold: It's our growing debt that we're going to transfer to the younger generation with seemingly no fiscal discipline. And more than that, it’s the lack of friendliness, it's the increasing contempt I see between Americans who have different opinions. We're going to have to sit down and remember, if we want this country to survive, we're going to have to work together. There's no way around that. That’s the way a democracy is set up. So, I would break it into those two fundamental different threats.”.....snip~

Mattis the Demo is worried about the contempt between the left and the Right. He knows now if the Civil War jumps off half of the left will be taken out in a month and whatever survives will be forced to flee the country. Though he should consider that as a good thing. If boards such as this forum are any indication of it, yes, it is true. Also, since that is not bound to change much, it is also doubtful the United States will remain as one nation under God. The people vote, and for a time period of the next election cycle, which is practically the whole time, they are going at it, fighting over politicians, some of who are not worth a defense team.

That is the point of having a two-party system, that is not all that interested in solving issues that have plagued America, no matter which party exactly caused it; they both caused it. But the next point is to be sure to take advantage of it, so the prosperity of the people is subjected to a 'carved out of the frontier of "America First"', of someone in the elite lied to make it all seem.

Through a (communist), or altered-state public school system of Friederich Engels-Karl Marx-Abraham Lincoln, media fate travels, the candidates, hoping to wage their very best screen test. Big money still present, waiting to take results to hammer back to "the vote", of who the best candidates are, that will keep the establishment happy v. shake-up by Hurricane Dorian.

1. White Nationalist Domestic Terrorism is a massive national security threat

What we say here increases the chance of bullets flying for only the most extreme of us.
...but few Americans are going to risk war with each other over political differences.
We did that once and the results were "rich man's war and poor man's fight".

Even the constant and most rabid, " I hate Trump" posters only limit their actions to the keyboard.
Add to that the occasional Communist who makes drive-by threads.

A while back on firearms websites I hear the same thing from fringe right wingers about Obama.
We generally gave them a polite nod and went on about talking how cool and pretty that new gun someone got was.
