    Mark Sanford and the primaries

Former South Carolina governor (and former House member) Mark Sanford has just announced that he will be challenging Donald Trump in the primaries.

Of course, the man has no chance of prevailing.

He could, however, weaken Donald Trump for the general election. (Those who primary a sitting president often have the effect of weakening him.)

So one has to wonder: Is this his intention?

Certainly, there is bad blood between the two. But this sort of animosity seems...well, over-the-top.

His home state wont let Ben hold a primary. Cancelled!

The RNC cancelled any debates this go around.

So whats he running for again? Oh yah, fiscal responsibility LoL! That ship sailed years ago when the Dems decided they would crucify anyone that brought it up. So why is he really running? For the never Trumper crowd. We NTC you are about to be embarrassed yet again.

It's his intention. Old Appalachian Trail has no credibility. He is a harmless creep.

Apparently one or two Republics still have vestigial backbones and don't want to follow your Dear Leader over a cliff and into prison.

Odd, I know, but it seems to be happening, even though the weasels of the SC GOP have no problem breaking their own rules by cancelling their primary in order to keep their lips more firmly attached to the massive posterior of their god.

It would really be nice if you could be just a bit more analytical--and a bit less inclined to show a dismissive animosity toward both Donald Trump and all his supporters...

(Note: For some serious analysis--absent the invective--might I please suggest that you check out Larry Sabato's site. Or Charlie Cook's site. Or Stu Rothenberg's site. Or Scott Rasmussen's site. Or Nate Silver's site. Or even RealClearPolitics.com.)

Trumps Tweet went right for the gutter jugular........Last time I heard from this failed guy he was with his mistress in Argentina and lying about saying he was hiking in the Appalachians. Then went onto to say he is so popular and powerful he was defeated in a primary...

    LOL
