    Antonio Brown accused of rape

I don't know how credible the accusation is and I'm skeptical when no criminal charge was made at the time. But, sometimes when one is a news story, it goes viral.

    https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...-civil-lawsuit

The first alleged incident was in June 2017; Taylor says Brown exposed himself and kissed her without consent at one of his Pittsburgh-area homes. A month later, while at Brown's home in his native Miami, Brown masturbated near her without her knowledge and ejaculated on her back, then later bragged about it in a series of text messages, Taylor alleges in the lawsuit. Taylor also says that in May 2018, after a night out at a Miami-area club, she went back to Brown's home in Miami to use the bathroom and have some food, and Brown "forced her down onto a bed, pushed her face into the mattress and forcibly raped her."

I would ask the accuser, after the first incident or at leastthe second, why are you still associating with the guy?

I agree. If a guy has made unwanted advances in the past, what was she doing going out for a "night on the town" and then going back to his house with him?

    This isn't adding up.

That can't excuse rape if it actually happened, but it calls into question the judgment of the victim.

Isn't it nice to have a quarterback talking junk about you. I don't like Brown but I espicially didn't like his ex quarterback on his radio station. So he should be able to say anything and how dare Brown respond. Well Brown is the problem, he may be part of it but so was the other but he didn't start it. Now a rape charge, we shall see.

True, if he really raped her -- he's guilty, but something is fishy here. This sounds more like "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned." I'm tired of these women who only come forth later and then tell stories about how they were sexually harassed or abused for years -- but still stayed with the guy. She was supposedly his personal trainer, but she should have set boundaries between work and pleasure.

I call this one -- very suspect.

I'm not going to pass judgement until the evidence is heard.

I doubt he plays a single game this year.

“We are aware of the civil lawsuit that was filed earlier today against Antonio Brown, as well as the response by Antonio’s representatives,” read the statement. “We take these allegations very seriously. Under no circumstance does this organization condone sexual violence or assault. The league has informed us that they will be investigating. We will have no further comment while that investigation takes place.”

The problem he’s facing is that this is a civil suit. The standards are much lower than a criminal trial. If he settles, that’s an admission of guilt as far as the NFL is concerned and he’s screwed. If he doesn’t settle and risks a verdict and loses, he’s screwed there too.

Maybe he should reconsider his "dating" habits... A lesson for all in the NFL who are not alleged rapists. Get paperwork signed.
