The NRA sucks at a lot of things. The one thing it is good at is firearms education. They are probably better than anyone else in the world at that. They suck at almost everything else. It would be STUPID to turn background investigations over to them. They can't even vet their own executives. They are the idiots who selected Oliver North to run the show.
