I really don't have a problem with regulating the sale of 100-round 'double drum' magazines. Such should not be available for sale on Amazon with 2 day free shipping to just anyone with a credit card number and address on file. I think anyone who wishes to purchase such a thing should be formally approved in advance by the NRA.

Let's face it, Gov't can't do anything right.

Anything can be a problem in criminal hands. Should that have any effect on the rest of us?
Call your state legislators and insist they approve the Article V convention of States to propose amendments.

If the NRA vets a person and takes responsibility for that person, I'd be okay with that. When it comes to Gov't poiliticians, give the a nickel, on either side of the isle, and they'll report to their respective National Committee...see, I raised some more funds for the kitty.

The NRA sucks at a lot of things. The one thing it is good at is firearms education. They are probably better than anyone else in the world at that. They suck at almost everything else. It would be STUPID to turn background investigations over to them. They can't even vet their own executives. They are the idiots who selected Oliver North to run the show. North has never been anything more than a whiny, sniveling, cowardly little $#@! who couldn't even run a lemonade stand.

Just stop saying that. It makes you look ridiculous and totally uninformed.
