Paying College athletes.

Most of those degrees are completely worthless.

Scholarships should be aimed at students with ACADEMIC potential.

I'd venture to say that most college degrees are basically worthless.

Student athletes have the same criteria as non athletes to get in and have to meet standards higher than non athletes to remain in.

I’m not sure if your off-season statement is accurate. The idea behind it is that wealthy boosters of the program will give star athlete’s a good paying phantom job.

Yes that was the problem before the NCAA made that rule, they backed off some by adding stricter compliance rules.

The tradition of college athletics goes back to very begining. One can receive an education but still participate in extracurricular activities.


No one is stopping you from cheering for the debate team. Academic excellence is rewarded.

It is not rewarded in the same way.
