The president IS addressing pollution in California. He's getting the EPA involved. And he's waking up a LOT of Silent Majority types in Cali. If they all of a sudden start showing up to the polls in droves, then the Democrats may have to start spending a lot of unexpected campaign funds to maintain their incumbent seats. I think that is precious all by itself.
And the President is going right into the belly of the beast. There is no greater example of left wing idiocy, hypocrisy and sheer irrational behavior than San Francisco. This is going to be soooooo much fun to watch.

Liberal cities tended to have more progressive tax policies. According to their policy preference study, San Francisco, Berkeley and Cambridge are among the most liberal cities in America while Mesa, Provo and Waco are among the most conservative.
