1. The United States was NOT attacked. The Saudis were attacked. It is there issue
2. We are energy independent. Why risk our blood and treasure here? for what? I have always been realistic. If we need the oil to protect our economy and way of life then as disagreeable as that is you have do what you have to do. That equation no longer exists.

3. It benifits the US for there to be chaos in the world. It keeps everyone else off balance. This country is self sufficent in EVERYTHING just here in North America. Let them stew

The OP and post 2-5 give direct unqualified answers but then the qualifications started . Still I'm not counting many "Fors" Those who qualify with things like it's "up to Iran" would appear to want to remain supportive of a hard line and even our relationship with the Saudis yet distance themselves from putting our kids at risk or even other aspects of war. Understandable, but not very useful in giving a clear opinion.
