There is no other life in the universe that we know of. Probably gets wiped out if and when it arises. Just in our lifetime we have had several close calls from asteroids and even a comet or two.

If and when that happens and we are wiped out, there will be no life in the universe.

Think about this though. Your life is made up of the stuff that came from "out there" in the universe. So isn't it possible if life could form here, that it could also form out there since it's made of the same stuff? Just a thought.
We are all brothers and sisters in humanity. We are all made from the same dust of stars. We cannot be separated because all life is interconnected.

I'm confused as to how you would conclude then that we are in the least violent place in the universe. Life is violent, is it not?

Much of the universe is absolutely hostile to any chance of life. He is not talking about petty crime.

Conditions inhospitable to life. I don't know that I would characterize that as violent.

As far as we know, there is nothing capable of violence outside Earth. So Earth is the most violent and the least violent but neither means much of anything in comparative terms.
Whoever criticizes capitalism, while approving immigration, whose working class is its first victim, had better shut up. Whoever criticizes immigration, while remaining silent about capitalism, should do the same.
