Global Climate Change Report - Must Read

Yes! DEFINITELY Must read clear through to the end.

"The Arctic Ocean is warming up, icebergs are growing scarcer and in some places the seals are finding the water too hot according to a report to the Commerce Department yesterday from the Consulate at Bergen, Norway.

Reports from fishermen, seal hunters and explorers all point to a radical change in climate conditions and hitherto unheard of temperatures in the Arctic zone.

Exploration expeditions report that scarcely any ice has been met as far north as 81 degrees 29 minutes. Soundings to a depth of 3,100 meters showed the gulf stream still very warm.
Great masses of ice have been replaced by moraines of earth and stones, the report continued, while at many points well known glaciers have entirely disappeared.

Very few seals and no white fish are found in the eastern Arctic, while vast shoals of herring and smelts which have never before ventured so far north, are being encountered in the old seal fishing grounds.

Within a few years it is predicted that due to the ice melt the sea will rise and make most coast cities uninhabitable."

    I must apologize.

I neglected to mention that this report was fromNovember 2, 1922, as reported by the AP and published in

    The Washington Post96 years ago.

This must have been caused by the Model T Ford's emissions, or possibly from horse and cattle farts.

It is inaccurate and dishonest to attach the label "global climate change report" to something that was a regional phenomenon confined to the area around Norway. Also, the last sentence was added on to the newspaper article. There was no mention of sea level rise resulting from ice melt in the newspaper article which appears at the snopes.com site. Where is your skepticism? That sentence is ridiculous. The title of the article was, "Arctic ocean getting warm; seals vanish and icebergs melt". Only a small part of he Arctic Ocean was being discussed.

The point is this hogwash has been going on for almost a century now. So, go back to believing THE SKY IS FALLING AND WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE if you wish but I don't.

I don't believe that the sky is falling and we are all going to die. I believe that humanity still has time to prevent very serious damage to the environment but the task will be difficult. The

problem will be compounded by a rise in human population during the 21st century (7.7 billion in 2019 with 11.2 billion projected in 2100).

    from Wikipedia:

The median estimate for future growth sees the world population reaching 8.6 billion in 2030, 9.8 billion in 2050 and 11.2 billion by 2100[1] assuming a continuing decrease in average fertility rate from 2.5 births per woman in 2010–2015 to 2.2 in 2045–2050 and to 2.0 in 2095–2100, according to the medium-variant projection.[1] With longevity trending towards uniform and stable values worldwide, the main driver of future population growth is the evolution of the fertility rate

What do you mean by "this hogwash has been going on for almost a century now"? Even though the newspaper article is legitimate except for the last sentence, the OP is propaganda. It is

intended to cast doubt on the projections of climate scientists. The melting of Arctic sea ice will not significantly effect sea levels.

I read the title as "this is a report pertaining to global climate change" -- in other words, a report falling into the category of global climate change, see, and so there was nothing inaccurate about it regardless of the locality being discussed. You would seem to suppose that a rise in sea level in one part of the ocean does not necessarily mean a sea level rise elsewhere. LOL. I don't. Not on this planet.

Unless you're talking about man manipulating the weather on a grand scale (are you?), I think you can be assured that man's measurable impact on climate is somewhere in the neighborhood of negligible to nil, as is any measurable impact he might make trying to change it

If you are talking about man intentionally manipulating the weather, please tell us what you know, thanks.

" confined to a region around Norway". As for me I don't really see Norwegians as very useful. If they sink into the ocean I will simply look the other way. In contrast if one is looking for them just follow the screams.

Because if you are talking about man intentionally manipulating the weather (and so the climate), then the solution to your lie about global warming is simply to find the guy who's doing it and kill him.
