    Chillstep (music)

Here is another genre of music called Chillstep. It is similar to Dubstep but the chill version. It is kind of an electronic music.

We are all brothers and sisters in humanity. We are all made from the same dust of stars. We cannot be separated because all life is interconnected.

Interesting. I dont listen to chillstep because im too impatient. I dont knowbmuch about it other than its a busy use of synsethizers and it requires a good knowledge of filter modulation to produce it. Thanks JAP. I love music..

Awesome. I liked how they went into the history of the instruments too. I didnt know the banjo originated in Africa. That caught me by surprise. It made sense when I noticed the top of a banjo is basically a drum cover. A lot of the current use of the " slap beat" used by Flea and other performers originated in country music. I didnt know that either. It gained strength in 80's pop music. Musicians like Flea on the bass took it to another level. Thanks country music! Larry Graham of Sly and the Family Stone was a master of the "slap beat". Mix country bass , funk and punk. You get a great sound.

In 1955 my Dad owned a Beer Bar out in San Diego. He had a live band three nights a week. One night a guy walked in and went up and talked to our band leader. Soon the band guy got on the mike and introduced the guy who then sung about 6 songs. That guy was Lefty Frizzell. It was fun and Lefty stuck around for hours drinking beer and shooting the breeze.
