God put you in my way

It grieves me to say the second little baby passed away this morning.
He appeared to be getting better then took a downhill quick slide.
My wife took him under her wing and all her maternal instincts kicked in with the little guy.

I only hope we kept him comfortable and fed as he needed.
She told me he gave her three small chirps then went.
She said he looked right at her as if to say goodbye..


...from her hands directly to God's.

Sometimes all we can do is to make the transition a little easier, and to provide a warm place and loving contact. Thank you for caring, and for trying.
