This Is How Wrong These Job-Killing Spoiled Brats Are

I really do not think that this is in line with most Americans' desires (thankfully!)...
The pre-industrial era was full of mass-murdering plagues precisely because there was no pollution around to kill those viruses. So instead of the biased New Age term "pollution," honest language would call all that "industrial by-products." Pure, clean, natural era is the most toxic of all. Nature has always been hostile to man's survival.

I'm not sure about worldwide, I'm just talking about the violent crime rate in the US. It's been dropping for decades now, and -- to me -- that's very encouraging.

Amazing how the conversation is about how “violent crime rate in the US...has been dropping for decades now”, yet just a few years ago the social cons were $#@!ting the bed over how Obama was responsible for violent crimes increasing during his administration. It’s almost as if their perspective is dependent on the “person” occupying the WHite House, and not facts.

    Color me shocked.

Okay, so it had a tiny uptick in 2015 and 2016 when Obama was in office. It had tiny upticks in '06 and '12 as well. The overall trend is that it has been dropping for decades. It's actually pretty simple to understand.

Why doesn't that make liberals happy?

It is Hanford.... It has several names, over all it is called the Tri-cities. The cities it consists of is Kennewick, Pasco, and Richland. Richland Washington is where Hanford is located. It is complicated but there it is.
    Thank you.

I was not aware that you had responded to someone else, as regarding this question, previously.

I reside in Tennessee. Here, when we speak of the "Tri-cities" area, we are referring to upper East Tennessee--past Knoxville. Specifically, we are speaking of Bristol (part of which lapses into Virginia); Johnson City; and Kingsport. (I am really not quite sure just why Elizabethton is not included in the bunch--which would, then, make it "Quad-cities").

That's pretty cool. When I hear the word Tri-cities, I think home. That is where I was born and raised, and spent most of my life. Sad to have had to leave, but it was a good choice for sure.
We are all brothers and sisters in humanity. We are all made from the same dust of stars. We cannot be separated because all life is interconnected.

College Is Where Words Are Filled With Powder to Blow Up Students' Minds

This is a dilemma I often face when both sides are wrong. I don't agree with the way @JustAnother Person extends her personal experience into a general rule about nuclear power, but you don't understand that "fallacy" is an academic term with a misleading meaning. In fact, what the professors call a fallacy is usually true and is a useful way of figuring things out, especially ad hominem applied to the academic creeps themselves. It only means that it is not always true. But perfectionism leads to paralysis, which is the main goal of academia.

Are you suggesting, then, that post hoc ergo propter hoc is not a true fallacy?

Or perhaps, even, that there is no such thing, in the real world, as a true fallacy?

Note: Sometimes there actually is causation between one event and another. Other times, however--as in the classic example, "The rooster crows, and then the sun rises; therefore, the rooster's crowing must have caused the sun to rise"--there is not.
