Exclamation School Board, Officials, Covered Up Boys Rape, Wouldn't Report It

What is wrong with our society? It's no wonder young men and women are so reluctant to report assault, when the adults they report it to won't do their job. I won't say a word about this happening in West Virginia, either...

Gay youth and mom file lawsuit accusing Monongalia County WV BOE of sweeping his rape 'under the rug'

MORGANTOWN — A gay Monongalia County boy and his mother have sued the Monongalia County Board of Education, one of its teachers, a community program for youth and three individuals over the alleged rape of her son and the educator’s alleged failure to report.
The lawsuit, filed by Bridgeport attorney Ronald Kramer in Monongalia County Circuit Court, contends the boy’s “sexuality has been, and remains, a motivating factor behind the defendants sweeping this outrageous conduct under the rug.”
The lawsuit also asserts that Kramer believes “discovery will exhibit that the Monongalia County Prosecuting Attorney’s office declined to prosecute ... which may have been motivated, in whole or in part, by its statutory relationship as counsel” for the Monongalia County Board of Education.”

I am surprised the mother did handle things considering the authorities ignored it.

Tough call. All he had was his word vs. the other kid's. It is possible the teacher just didn't believe him, but some counseling recommendation should of occurred either way.
