I didn't hear a single "dishonest fact" in the young lady's entire presentation. Arguing against legal firearms ownership in the U.S. is a total non-starter, Zero, and always will be. Those who claim that "all liberals" are in favor of such extreme measures have those false claims supported by posts like yours, and that's a shame. As one of those (as anti-gun activists would have it) "unicorns" who have actually stopped a crime against themselves by brandishing a gun, I can testify that I'm very glad it was there when I needed it. I strongly suspect that very few if any of the millions (or whatever the number might be) of others who've had that experience would willingly go back in time and do it again unarmed.

Most defensive use of a firearm never involve firing a shot. Being armed and showing resolve and the willingness to fire a shot if necessary most often make actually shooting unnecessary.

Thirty, maybe even twenty years ago, that may have been true, but from what I have read the incidence of murder by stranger has surpassed and now outweighs the killing by a loved one or acquaintance.
