My dads side of the family lived in Iowa in the 1800's. They moved to TN and Arkansas in the late 1800's to bootleg and got into cotton farming and timber. In the mid 1900's they added cropdusting to the mix. Dead grandma was a blue blood from Luxemburgh so you can only imagine how that was lol. My grandad was a raging alcoholic ( but he hated drunks lol). Grandma was all about church. I'll never forget she was in charge of the communion. At their house the communion trays were on a shelf over a shelf he kept his whiskey bottles. They werent Catholic either. He never went to church and she never took a drink. They were Church of Christ. But it worked. Mixed signals came early in my ancestory.
