Mexican Drug Cartel Tries to Silence Internet.....

    http://news.yahoo.com/mexican-drug-c...224155885.html

MEXICO CITY (AP) — Mexico's hyperviolent Zetas drug cartel appears to be launching what may be one of the first campaigns by an organized crime group to silence commentary on the Internet.

The cartel has already attacked rivals, journalists and other perceived enemies. Now, the target is an online chat room, Nuevo Laredo en Vivo, that allows users to comment on the activities of the Zetas and others in the city on the border with Texas.

Already, three apparent site users have been slain, and a fourth victim may have been discovered Wednesday, when a man's decapitated body was found with what residents said was a banner suggesting he was killed for posting on the site. Chat room users said they could not immediately confirm the victim's identity, because people all post under aliases.

Despite such precautions, users are highly vulnerable, and the Zetas could be tracking them from clues they leave online, experts said Thursday.

"If you're a Mexican cartel with hundreds of millions of dollars, there certainly are security experts in Mexico or former hackers, or whoever they are, that I'm certain they're for hire," he said.....snip~

Looks like the Cartels are now going after regular people even talking about them or witnessing them. This marks a change for those using socila media services.

This is straight up bull$#@!. If these pukes. Can come over the border and start taking out Americans. Then This cartel best hope that some Americans who have the skills and the mentality, and knows how to deal with the Drug cartels.....won't show up in Mexico where they like to hang out and party. Have some of their people taken out.

I mean really.....do they think they cannot be touched. Did they not see what they did to Gadhafi. Do they not understand we will hunt their azs down like AQ until they are begging for us to please dint hurt their familes.

It just pisses me off that the Incompetant Mexican Authorities don't do $#@!. High time we start seeing or hearing about those willing to go and take these pukes out. if anymore Americans are killed on our own side of the border. Then we had best start making our terms real clear to Mexico. Dictating terms and not asking anymore.

Re: Mexican Drig Cartel Tries to Silence Internet.....

This is in response to Anonymous Hackers after they threatened the Drug Cartel? Now its Anonymous' move.

    http://news.yahoo.com/anonymous-hack...173136762.html

Anonymous gave them to Nov 5th to release one of their members. Looks like the Cartel may have released him alright. Balls in the Hackers court now. :-\

Re: Mexican Drug Cartel Tries to Silence Internet.....

To late.....Anonymous backs Down From Drug Cartel.

    http://news.yahoo.com/even-anonymous...161601792.html

The hacktivist collective Anonymous is backing down from its threats to target the notoriously violent Mexican drug cartel Los Zetas. On October 6, some members of Anonymous announced in a YouTube video (below) that the hackers "will publish the identities and addresses of the syndicate's associates, from corrupt police to taxi drivers, as well as reveal the syndicates' businesses" unless a member of Anonymous who was kidnapped by Los Zetas during a street protest last week was released, the Houston Chronicle reports. "We cannot defend ourselves with weapons, but we can with their cars, houses, bars. It's not difficult," the Guy Fawkes-masked man says in the Spanish video.....snip~

Althought a couple members say their Operation is still on. But Officially the group is backing down. Stupid move.....now they show the Cartel that they fear them.

    Mexico Nabs Cartel Leader: Officials...

Mexico reports capture of alleged Zetas cartel commander
Nov 9, 2012 - The Mexican navy says it hopes Said Omar Juarez's capture in Coahuila state will lead authorities to the cartel's remaining top leader; Alleged local Zetas boss said to have ties with cartel's top commander
An alleged local commander of the Zetas paramilitary cartel in the troubled border state of Coahuila has been captured, the Mexican navy announced Thursday, expressing hope that he might lead authorities to the notorious group's remaining top leader. Said Omar Juarez was taken into custody on a prominent street in Saltillo, Coahuila's capital, the navy said in a statement released as the suspect was presented to reporters in Mexico City. In his possession were weapons and packages containing what may be cocaine and marijuana, the statement said.

Juarez was described by the navy as the Zeta operative in charge of Saltillo, who "presumably" has direct ties to Miguel Angel Treviño, the Zetas' top leader. Treviño emerged as the undisputed Zetas capo after Heriberto Lazcano was killed in a shootout with navy special forces last month. Coahuila, which borders Texas and is Mexico's third-largest state, has recently been the subject of increased scrutiny after a series of high-profile events that revealed the extent to which the Zetas had grown to dominate the region.

In addition to Lazcano's killing, the subsequent stealing of his body by armed commandos, and the acknowledgment by officials that he was living freely in Coahuila, there were other events:

The former governor's son was slain in October, allegedly by Zeta operatives working in cahoots with local police, and in September one of the largest mass prison breaks in history took place, in the Coahuila town of Piedras Negras, staged by Zetas to free Zetas. The warden and 16 guards and other officials were detained on suspicion of aiding the escape; eight of the officials were released Thursday. All of that was followed by a stunning series of interviews by the former governor, Humberto Moreira, who accused the state's lucrative mining industry of entering into a devil's pact with the Zetas and helping to finance their murderous ways. Moreira, who is mired in a scandal involving a $3-billion debt that he saddled the state with, offered to supply proof of the complicity but has not yet done so.

Mexico charges agents for trying to kill CIA men
Nov 9, 12: Mexican prosecutors have charged 14 federal police officers with trying to kill two CIA officers and a Mexican navy captain in an August ambush south of the capital city.
In its Friday statement, the Attorney General's Office doesn't state a motive for the attack. The police officers have been charged with attempted homicide.

The statement says the police officers were off-duty and driving private vehicles when they opened fire 152 times on the U.S. Embassy vehicle carrying the CIA officers and navy captain. The targets were heading to a military training camp when they were injured in the attack.

The Mexican officers have spent nearly 80 days in a form of house arrest Mexico uses in organized crime cases.

When you lay with dogs you get fleas. Obama won't help you, he hasn't the cajones. The cartel is terribly worried about revenue because of the legalization in several states which they feel could spread across the country. Then no one would buy from them. To me it's the best way to cut-off the head of the snake...remove cash flow.

Couple o' Mexican army lieutenants caught tryin' to make a fast n' furious buck...

Mexico arrests soldiers attempting to sell firearms to Los Zetas Cartel
Jan. 31, 2017 -- Mexico's Secretariat of National Defense said it arrested two lieutenants who attempted to sell 11 AK-47s and three AR-15s to members of the Los Zetas Cartel for about $5,000.
The men arrested in the Tamaulipas state last week were officially identified as José Manuel "N" and Ambrosio "N." The detained lieutenants said the weapons were being transported to the Xicoténcatl municipality, where Francisco "Pancho" Carreón, a Los Zetas unit leader, was going to pick them up, officials said.

The men are identified by Nuevo Laredo en Vivo as Jose Manuel Nuñes Santiago and Ambrosio Salgado Brito, who were arrested after an inspection was carried out because they appeared nervous.

A member of Mexico's National Security Cabinet told Milenio on Sunday the lieutenants will be punished accordingly. The lieutenants were delivered to the Attorney General's Office and will be prosecuted under Mexico's military justice system.

Los Zetas is a vast criminal enterprise involved in drug, firearms and sex trafficking based in Nuevo Laredo, a town bordering the United States in Tamaulipas. The cartel is a rival of Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman's Sinaloa Cartel.

Activist slain in revenge for looking for her daughter...

Mexico: Activist slain in revenge for 'disappeared' search
Jun 29,`17 -- Prosecutors in northern Mexico said Thursday that criminals apparently killed a mother to punish her for the years she spent years searching for her missing daughter, a hunt that led to the arrest and jailing of suspects.
Miriam Rodriguez was killed in the northern state of Tamaulipas on May 10, which is Mothers Day in Mexico. She was one of many Mexicans who have taken it upon themselves to search for missing loved ones because police can't or won't. Irving Barrios, the Tamaulipas state attorney general, said that two men had been arrested and charged in the slaying and that prosecutors believe they killed Rodriguez in revenge for her investigations. "The strongest line of investigation is that this was an act of revenge for the work that Miriam carried out and which allowed for the detention of several people in relation to her daughter's kidnapping," Barrios said.

Barrios said the men knew at least one other suspect who had been jailed for the kidnapping and killing of Rodriguez' daughter Karen in 2014. Four other suspects have been implicated in the killing of Rodriguez, who belonged to the group Citizen Community in Search of the Disappeared in Tamaulipas. The group said Rodriguez's tireless search had eventually led to the discovery of her daughter's remains in an unmarked grave and she identified to authorities the man she held responsible.

Such groups have spread across Mexico in recent years as people search for their loved ones in the face of government inaction or indifference. Some 30,000 people have disappeared in the decade since Mexico announced a war on drug cartels. Tamaulipas, which borders Texas, has been plagued by drug violence, massacres and disappearances.
