Trump promised to leave Syria during his presidential campaign - American voters approved. Trump gave the military years to figure out a withdrawal strategy and they did nothing but stall and make excuses. So Trump finally lost patience and went forward with the plan, albeit in his utterly schizophrenic and melodramatic fashion.

Trump doesn't know what he's doing or how to do it. He's totally lost. He's surrounded himself with enemies and doesn't even realize it. He was the wrong man at the right time. Just sad.
