I could see that happening.
Coyotes will also breed with dogs, so they could be coydogs or mixtures of all of the above, if they are that much larger than the usual coyotes.

She ran directly toward one of our adult cats who promptly arched her back and hissed at the little one. I was finally able to catch her and put her in the garage over night. She was so hungry. Quick calls to others on our mile determined no one had lost a kitty, but she's too pretty to be a feral. She looks a bit like a Maine coon cat.

Im still upset over this. I cannot imagine someone being heartless enough to dump a kitten. Whoever did this should have their head chopped off.

I know, given that we live so far away from other houses - and that we checked with the neighbors - it doesn't make sense. I'm still haunted wondering if there were other little ones with her that didn't survive, but we looked and looked. She was so tiny she couldn't have made her way very far I don't think. And, her fur was a bit messy but not like she'd been out there for a long time. She was skittish -- meowing loudly and trying to buddy up to our older cat who was a bit worried by all the commotion. She wasn't feral by any means, so someone had to have dumped her. We posted it on the local lost and found Facebook groups but no one ever claimed her -- although my daughter got a few offers to take her. But, she's safe and happy now. I enjoy the photos she sends me - and I enjoy sharing them with you guys.

We have a feral too, but he's a Mama's boy, and won't have nuthin' to do with me, lol. He does at least deign to tolerate me in his general vicinity, but heaven forbid I attempt to touch him. Smudge, aka Smudgie, aka Mudgie Mudge. We have a minimum nickname requirement around here.

At least your kitty nicknames are socially acceptable. When we used to have several cats at one time, one was Little F, the other Little S. Other nicknames included Doublewide (he had a height issue, according to his weight, he should have been at least 3 feet tall lol) Dweeb, Fuzzbutt, and Hairball.

When I die, I want to come back as one of my own cats. They are spoiled rotten.

My husband yelled at them but they wouldn't budge, so he fired his gun into the air and they finally took off. A neighbor got security camera footage of five coyotes (not sure it's the same ones, but also very large) trying to attack their dogs, but thankfully, a fence was between them. It's kind of crazy around here right now.
