chlorine gas is deadly in strong concetrations it will indeed burn the lungs. I have experience with it from a brief job at a chemical plant.

Now not only has syria used chlorine gas but sulphur mustsrd gas and nerve gas on its own people all with russian help .
Naturally russia blocked the resolution to condem this because they helped build the plants that made the has and had military staff at these plants . they were the ones trump unleashed over 100 missles on .

I think it was France that helped build those plants. Like they did in Iraq for Saddam's WMD program.

Seems to depend on who is using it for what much like chlorine gas it can be used to help people or kill them like syria did
